How Many Pieces Per Minute Will I Get Run On The Equipment - PPM

How Many Pieces Per Minute Will I Get Run On The Equipment?

Maripak USA factory technicians cannot and will not provide an exact PPM (pieces per minute).

Understanding PPM - Pieces Per Minute

---------------------------------------------------

PIECES PER MINUTE or as it is often referred to PPM in explanation

* PPM NOTE: - Pieces per minute are always a variable and dependent on numerous environmental and operation/production factors and not controllable. Projected pieces per minute are based on pure math and also a perfect operating environment for the equipment to produce the estimated numbers. These estimated numbers are always provided in a range as we cannot and will not provide you with any inaccurate and over-exaggerated numbers that can be run on our equipment.  They are always subject to change and never exact. The specific reasoning for this is that there is not and will never be a perfect production or operating environment to produce an exact number. The equipment has the capability to only run at certain speeds that will or will not allow for success or failure and many factors play into this every minute of every production shift. Product sizes and dimensions are one of the largest factors along with the in-feeding operation, product material, and substrates which may or may not cause slipping, movement, and other issues not realized by the untrained eye.

As a proper practice while being consistent and transparent with our potential customers and long-standing customers Maripak, Maripak USA, and Maripak AH will never provide an exact PPM for any product as it is misleading and can not be backed up with accurate data.

The following below shows a very specific explanation to understand better and to provide much more clarity.

EXAMPLE #1

IMPACK PRO 40 - Intermittent Side Sealer - Published Specifications are - 98ft. / min max conveyor speed and 60 cycles/min max cycles - cross seal cycles - NO Product Present

Optimum real running speed for product/products is sustainable at 60-65 ft. / min in conveyor speed - note Intermittent system sealing cycle stops in the seal / cutting area thus causing a real-time reduction in product throughput speed as well.

Real-Time Cycle Product Speeds are dependent on the overall size dimensions of a product along with product makeup and substrates. i.e. - product size of 3 x 3 x 3 can be run at approximately 35-40 cycles with constant and consistent product feeding and no interruptions. *** NOTE the LARGER the products especially in length will provide for fewer cycles per minute and is always based on customer-specific applications and operating environment. There is never a guarantee for PPM

EXAMPLE #2

IMPACK PRO- MOTION 40 - Continuous Side Sealer - 98ft/min max conveyor speed and 110 cycles/min max cycles - cross seal cycles - NO Product Present

Optimum real running speed for product/products is sustainable at 60-65 ft./min in conveyor speed - note continuous system sealing cycle does not stop in the seal / cutting area causing a real-time constant in product throughput speed as well.

Real-Time Cycle Product Speeds are dependent on the overall size dimensions of a product along with product makeup and substrates. i.e. - product size of 3 x 3 x 3 can be run at approximately 55-60 cycles with constant and consistent product feeding and no interruptions. *** NOTE the LARGER the products especially in length will provide for fewer cycles per minute and are always based on customer-specific applications and operating environment.
